JAX LILY
To be honest i wasn't too sure about reading this book. I had never read anything by Ellie Wade and when I first started I wasn't connecting with the book but their was something about it that was calling to me so I stuck with it.
And I have to say it was definitely one of the best books I have read in a long time. I loved it so much that I just had hurry up and write this review while this book still had me emotionally reved up.
This is about beautiful love story between Lily and Jax that began as babies.
This story begins as Lil and Jax as best friends since birth. Their moms are best friends and neighbors. Which means all their life they have done everything together. Their love was born from a pure and beautiful friendship.
Until one night both Lil and Jax begin to see each other in a different way. That same night they share a kiss that will forever change their friendship and feelings towards each other.
Their story is so beautiful from the beginning from the way their friendship is to the way they see each other. The most touching part is how their love for one another unfolds and they go from best friends to soul mates.
Although at the beginning I had a hard time connecting with the book because it takes place through their childhood and teen years. I found myself wondering why that time was so necessary to be included rather giving us a quick insight of what Lil and Jax relationship was like.
But I am so glad I kept reading and that we got to see that glimpse of their beginning to better understand and connect with these characters.
I loved how emotionally invested I got with these characters. So much that I cried and became a freakin mess reading this story. But I also felt anger, laughter and felt giddy along with them as well.
This story really is about what it would be like to have found a soul mate and share a strong love for one another. But also about making sacrifices for the one you love with hopes that destiny will one day reconnect your paths only to have timing step in and be such a bitch causing more pain.
Gosh I think I am still a mess from this book.
Well Ellie Wade A Beautiful Kind of Love was my cherry popper. This was my first experience with your work and I have to say I freakin' loved it and look forward to reading more.
Ohh and please hurry I need to know more about Jax and Lil.
Ellie Wade resides in southwest Michigan with her husband, three young children, and two dogs. She has a Master’s degree in education from Eastern Michigan University and is a huge University of Michigan sports fan. She loves the beauty of her home state, especially the lakes and the gorgeous autumn weather.
