It is no secret that I absolutely adore this man. He is likable, loving, supportive, inspiring and an all around amazing person. He has THE IT FACTOR. Here's our latest conversation.

RB: Are you a good dancer?

SD: Yes, I believe I’m a good dancer once I get a lil alcohol in me to loosen me up and then I break it down like Channing Tatum ha.

RB: Are you looking forward to the masquerade ball themed author event in Indy?

SD: Yes, I’m looking forward to the whole signing experience but that one mostly because it’s a theme where everyone dresses up and my mom is coming to that signing 

RB: Any short-term goals?

SD: Hmm, I want to possibly just keep building upon my name that I have created for myself & still have the ability to meet fans, and change peoples lives with my online coaching/training.

RB: Are there any friendships you made through this journey that have surprised you?

SD: Honestly, I have met some really great people but one person in particular I have become pretty close with that was unexpected is Jacob Wilson. We are at a lot of the same events together so it’s fun having someone to cause trouble with.

RB: How did it feel to help the family that had the adoption auction?

SD: I was in shock with how well it went, I had no idea that I could help so much. I’m just happy that people were so giving to the cause.

RB: What is the craziest body part a fan had you sign?

SD: The craziest body part I have had to sign thus far is someones shirt. I haven't been asked to really sign body parts. *** Ummm, you haven't signed body parts, yet!

RB: Do you have any favorite memories of this past summer?

SD: Favorite memory from this past summer is probably the TN signing. It was my first signing, I got to meet some of my closest friends like Jacob Wilson, Chase Ketron, and getting to hangout again with Travis Tardiff along with his girlfriend Ellen Oakes 

RB: What is the worst part about traveling?

SD: Clearly as most people know I have had some bad experiences with airports & their ability to get me to where I got to be. I don’t mind traveling it’s draining but it pays off when I get the opportunity to meet everyone who supports myself and Stacy Borel

RB: How do you keep busy at the airport, while you wait?

SD: Usually client emails, social media (answering back to comments/messages), and just texting. LOL

RB: Is there a dream location that you would like to do a photo shoot?

SD: I actually get the opportunity to make my dream a reality with shooting in the Bahamas with FuriousFotog.

RB: Is there a photographer that you haven’t yet worked with, that you would like to work with? 

SD: I’d like the opportunity to work with people over in the UK like Simon Barnes and Gilles Crofta and also Michael Stokes in Cali.

RB: Aside from your AWESOME pool pic, do you have a favorite?

SD: My favorite would have to be my football picture because it took a lot of courage to take that picture, it was also my idea that was taken with FuriousFotog. Another few of my favorites are the new ones with Allan Spiers it’s a different look for me in my opinion.

RB:. You mentioned an auction, when are you planning on having it? I think there are more than a few wanting the famous football!

SD: I haven’t chosen a date for this it might be done when I get back from Vegas after the Olympia I have a good amount of shoots so I want to focus on those. & I just want time to have it all set up.

RB: Would you consider, auctioning off the blue briefs that you wore for the ice bucket challenge? 

SD: I haven’t thought of that but I mean WHY NOT. LOL

RB: When you get wind that an author is planning on putting you on her cover, what is the first thing you think?

SD: I’m still in shock by all of this that is happening for me. It’s surreal but I mean if I portray their character and I can help them or the photographer that has taken the image I’m all for it.

RB: How do you feel on cover reveal day?

SD: I’m excited and nervous cause you never know what reaction you’ll get but then once it’s released I WANT IT IN MY HANDS.

RB: Many of your online clients have had success with your. What is it like hearing their success stories and seeing the transformations?

SD: Hearing that they're happier on a daily basis is amazing, them fitting into smaller sizes is great but their reactions when they see someone that they haven't for a long time & they get compliments is the best. Cause once they’re happy with themselves and find the confidence they become able to accomplish anything.

RB: What is the next step in your online coaching venture?

SD: I plan on having my website done very soon. I plan to build upon my name, may sound selfish but I couldn’t do it without the support I’ve had it’s incredible. MUCH BIGGER THINGS TO COME. I can say that. 

RB: You motivate so many. Who or where do you get your motivation from?

SD: I get my motivation from music I love listening to music, I don’t listen for the beats or anything like that I listen to the lyrics those hit me. They fuel me. & also to just be able to motivate others keeps me striving cause I never know who's watching & who I’m inspiring without even knowing it. 

RB: Tell us about your newest addition. Your badass tattoo. Where did the quote come from? 

SD: The quote came from song lyrics. “Make peace with your pain and never lose your flames. It’s something that really hits home for me cause I see SOOO MANY people let their “career” get to their head and lose sight of what/ why they started all this it’s a slight reminder of me to keep my head level and don’t lose the inner fire of why I push day in and day out to make something of myself. It’s also meaning between my two best friends and myself. We’ve been through thick and thin together & without them I don’t know where I’d be. Also It means what it means in the song. “Make peace with you pain and never lose your flames” to me it says make peace with what has hurt you in the past and let it strengthen you for tomorrow.

RB: You are responsible for friendships. Relationships have been made between some of your followers. Any thoughts on the Shawn Dawson Sisterhood?

SD: It’s kind of crazy to think that I have brought people together into a close friendship, just glad I can be a part of a developing friendship.

RB: You have a few Author events under your belt. Does it get easier meeting the fans?

SD: I’m still nervous for each one that’ll never change, I want to able to make them smile. If they’re in line, waiting to meet Stacy or myself, I want them to feel special each and every one cause without them, none of this would be possible. If, meeting me can somehow impact them in some way that makes it all worth while.

RB: What’s it like getting gifts from your fans and supporters?

SD: It’s awesome, them going out of their way to spend money, write, or make something just for me is incredible.

RB: You mentioned posing with a female. Who would you absolutely love to do a shoot with?

SD: I honestly don’t know if I could share the spot light. Whoops.

RB: What is the absolute best part of being Shawn Dawson and doing what you are doing?

SD: Being able to travel & meet people who give myself or whoever I’m associated with support & able to call it my career/job.

RB: What has been the most fulfilling part about the course your life has taken?

SD: I would have to say when I got that first “Bender” book in my hands or seeing my mom’s face when I gave her the copy. I was in tears for both events.

RB:. Are you a cuddler?

SD: Big time.

RB: Do you have a favorite side of the bed when sharing your bed?

SD: I have to sleep on my right side.

RB: Do you prefer sexy lingerie on a woman or seeing her in your shirt?

SD: Sexy lingerie or my jersey.

RB: What is the most attractive thing about a woman besides her confidence?

SD: I’d have to say their smile or their curves. So final answer curves are sexy ladies… Just be confident with them.
