Priceless was the first book I have read written by Raine Miller. I to say I fell in love with her writing and will now be reading all her other books previously written.
Most of you might have had an introduction to Gabrielle and I van in the Blackstone Affair. I definitely didn't but right away felt a connection ti these characters. Wow the story between Gabrielle and Ivan is amazing. It is full of passion and sensuality but also has a very romantic tell to it!
I love how this story has a little bit of historic and modern twist in it.
Gabrielle Hargreave is a student at a University in London with a major in historic art. Her passion leads her to work an Art event in London where she has her with first encounter with the gorgeous Ivan Everly Lord Rothvale (something she had no knowledge at the time). He was gorgeous and she believed he was scheduled for a tour of the art Gallery. That night they had a steamy encounter that was abruptly interrupted by a bomb threat causing her to run out of the building and begin to feel mortified by her actions with Ivan.
Lord Ivan Everly was expecting to find his hired escort date at the art gallery where Ethan and Brynne had invited him. Instead he mistakenly assumed Gabrielle was that escort he was expecting. He took the liberty of enjoying what her services were. Only to have her run out on him during the bomb threat.
As days passed he tried to contact the agency to set up another encounter Her only to have another escort show up and cause another field day fir the media with a hidden recording of that encounter. His trust in people was shattered even worst.
When needed some one he could trust have come evaluate his paintings. So he contacted his University contact to send someone of trust. And to his surprise it happened to be Gabrielle the woman he believed to be an escort. He was so upset he accused her of being in with the escort service and thought for sure they were trying to set him up again. When she got offended at his accusations he left her standing by his door way and instructed his help yo take care of her.
The next morning he woke up to find her gone. And his opportunity to have her like he desired missed. Ivan tried hard to speak with her and find her. But he failed in doing so.
But fate had a funny way of doing things as much as Ivan tried to find her and Gabrielle tried to forget him... fate put them in each others path once again the weekend of Ethan and Brynne's wedding. Where he finally gets the opportunity of enjoying her like he wants.
But what he taste will not be satisfied with one weekend. He wants more and will proposition her. Will she except his proposition and conditions?
Wow Raine Miller is absolutely amazing. I can't wait and see what is next for both Ivan and Gabi.
