This was my very first CORI WILLIAMS experience and I can honestly say... IT WILL NOT BE MY LAST!
I will admit, when I first started reading it I was so confused. I was like where is this going. I'm at a loss. But, I am not the type to just put a book down. I commit and I complete. Well, I am so happy I did. Cori, blew me away!!! I was stuck to this book. The story came together so perfectly, I mean yes the heroine, Emmy did go through some traumatic events but to see her recover and emerge into the woman she became was phenomenal!!!
When the pieces finally start to come together you will want to hurt two people. To feel betrayal like Emmy felt is crazy. I felt her emotions and when I feel a book I will tell everyone about it. The ride I went on was something I love and I fell in love in the process. The one you never see coming is the one that always finds a way into our hearts and will always be there. Yeah, that happens in this book. The man of your dreams is just that, a dream. The man we meet, the one that challenges us, the one that we hate is the one we fall for. The one that heals us. To see that in a book is powerful.
Cori, I can't wait to pick up another book by you. I am so happy I read you, and so happy, I got the message that no matter what life gives you, you can always come out on top. Always, have faith and believe in yourself.
