☆.•°*°•.☆ELIZABETH REYES' FATE SERIES READ-A-LONG ☆.•°*°•.☆

What happened in chapter 22 - the epilogue?:

A couple of weeks have passed since Rose wrote him a letter, and she hasn’t heard anything back. She sees that her family is keeping something from her, and discovers that Vince has been reported as MIA. She’s scared and devastated, but no news comes.
One day, Lorenzo is giving Grace her injection in her bedroom, and her sister comes home unexpectedly. She makes no comments, but she’s suspicious about the circumstances. Rose is late for her game, and Lorenzo drives her there.
When she gets to her game, she sees that her teammates are visibly shocked by something. She turns and looks, and there’s Vince. He’s injured - he’s hurt his arm, but he’s there and alive.
They have a family gathering that evening, where Grace pulls Rose aside to confront her about seeing her in her bedroom earlier with Lorenzo. Vince overhears, and demands to know what’s going on as well. He’s seen texts between Rose and Lorenzo on Lorenzo’s phone, and is worried they’ve gotten together while he’s been gone. Rose comes clean about her b12 deficiency and her injections, which she’s been keeping secret so as not to worry anyone.
Vince gets a contracting position with his brother’s security firm, and uses that signed contract as a ruse to get Rose out for dinner to celebrate. Their family is hiding in plain sight, and Rose catches her mother hiding behind a plant. Confused, and unable to find Vince after he goes to the restroom, Rose sees him out on a boat in the marina, asking him to marry her.

Favourite Quote:

She wrapped her arms around his neck as soon as she reached him, sobbing against his chest. Holding on for dear life - she’d never let go again.

Discussion Questions:

  • If you were Vince, would you have suspected something between Rose and Lorenzo?
  • What's the most romantic proposal you can think of?

About FATE

When Rose tagged along with her big sister to a baby shower the last thing she expected was to meet a guy. But this wasn't just any guy. This was the exciting, sexy as sin, way out of her league black sheep of his family--Vincent Moreno. Even more surprising, this heart-stopping bad boy seemed interested in her. Fate always had a way of interfering in Vince's best-laid plans. His forced attendance to his annoyingly perfect cousin's baby shower was no different. He was sure to be bored out of his skull, but instead, he met sweet little Rosie Zendejas. What begins as a unlikely friendship between two very different teens turns into one of the most intense and passionate relationships that neither ever saw coming. But just like it had so many times in Vince's troubled past, Fate steps in once again, threatening to take away the one thing he can't seem to even breathe without now--Rose.

Vincent catches our attention in the last Moreno brothers book. But let me tell you, this boy is truly a fave book boyfriend. He has a troubled past, a history that everyone reminds him of and still when he meets Rose, Grace's sister at Alex and Valerie's baby shower, all he can think of is how he wants to get to know Rose better.

He is not your typical Moreno, no; he is from an entirely different world than his cousins and because of it he keeps being warned to behave around Rose. From the moment he sees her he knows there is something about her. She is only 15 and he 16 but their relationship grows like only one their age can, via texting. They text and entire year and finally Vincent comes to work at the restaurant for the summer. This gives Rose and Vincent the opportunity they need to truly see if the spark they have via text is one they will have in person.

Their "friendship" evolves into something that can't be stopped. Fate has their names written in the stars and they forbidden relationship crosses lines they were warned not to cross. Two years after meeting Vincent is weeks away from moving to La Jolla from La Puente but.. his past catches up to him and he is forced to leave and not return, he is to be gone for four years in the Army. Rose feels betrayed and lost with the dramatic turn of events.

But, what follows is one amazing love story, two star crossed lovers that were meant to live and overcome so much to finally find their way back to each other. I will admit that Vincent Moreno has captured my heart and he does "cheesy" well.

Elizabeth I am in love with Vincent, thank you for sharing his story with us.
