Paige and Colton are childhood sweethearts. From a very young age their relationship grew and developed, they shared the same dreams the same goals. They wanted to train horses.
Paige suffers a traumatic accident that has her leaving the ranch and going to help her friend at her bakery. Paige is a country girl to he bone. Horses are her life and her passion but due to the accident and her injuries she felt it best to leave the ranch and try to heal and get better.
Colton is left trying to make his dream come true without his love by his side. He feels it best to give her the space she needs to heal and get better. He misses her and wants her with him but he loves her enough to give her what she needs.
Eventually, the day comes when Colton has had enough of Paige being gone. He and Paige's best friend, Ashlee, come up with a plan to get Paige back home to the ranch. She does and her life there is not what it once was. The damage caused by the accident is not just physical but emotional. Colton is very understanding and helps as much as he can.
Paige's self-esteem takes a hit due to the accident, and she doesn't feel attractive. But to Colton, who has loved her forever she is beautiful and perfect. He helps her and motivates her to get better. Their story of course has to have drama. How will our love birds deal with the added drama? Will love be enough to over come the dramatic events that unfold? Will childhood dreams and goals become reality? Will fate keep our couple together or will it keep them apart?
I enjoy Alicia Rae's books. In this book we even got to revisit some characters from another series and I truly enjoyed that. This story is good and I was truly flipping pages because I needed to see how perfect and loving Colton was. I wasn't disappointed at all by his character or the strong heroine. Another beautiful story from Alicia. Can't wait for the next installment. Yes, I am holding my breath for it. It was that good!!!
