**BLOG TOUR & REVIEW** HUNDRED TO ONE by Freya Barker

Hundred to One Synopsis:
Arlene Bowers is as tough as nails. She has survived a less than perfect marriage, managing to move past it to run her own diner. Her abrasive exterior has always been a way for her to hide behind the darkness and pain that she has endured, but a recent, violent attack and several disturbing phone calls have that tight hold on her emotions wavering.
Seb Griffin showed up in Cedar Tree eight months ago and was hired on at Arlene's Diner as a cook. An ex-con with secrets of hisown, Seb walks a fine line. Since he began working at the diner, he's developed feelings for his fierce, stubborn boss, and the need to keep his distance from her, to protect her, is a daily struggle.
When it appears that Arlene's past has come back, rearing its ugly head while her defenses are low, Seb steps up and claims responsibility for Arlene, praying that he can keep her safe from whatever is coming her way.

Arlene and Seb.

So, Seb works for Arlene in her diner and he had the hots for the boss. The boss, Arlene, has the hots for the hot fine ass cook, Seb. Seb, is in Cedar Tree because he wants to protect Arlene. He had a purpose for arriving in town after doing time in prison. He was Arlene's exes cell mate and he felt the need to protect her.

Well, protect her he will. Arlene is your typical strong and independent woman, which I love!!!! She has been through so much pain and suffering that she knows how to handle everything that is tossed at her. She is really a strong and amazing heroine, inspiring. She has developed feels for Seb but she just doesn't know his full story. What will she do when she finally finds out who he is?

These two have an attraction that is strong, real and so beautiful. I loved reading how Seb treats Arlene. How he is always so loving, adoring and respectful of Arlene. She finally caves and allows a man to love her the way she deserves. The way she should be treated, watching them finally open up to each other is emotional. They are both middle aged and so see them finally finding their other half is beautiful. We usually read about twenty-somethings finding their HEA not middle aged couples. This is part of the reason why I love this book.

I highly recommend you read book one of this series. Hundred to One does talk about the back story of Arlene and a horrible and event that took place in her recent past. We also learn about Seb and his live before prison all of their past events have brought them to where they are now.

But...this book is a mystery and some events do take place and people do things to harm and attempt to harm Arlene, Seb and some of the other characters. This book had me engaged and I hope you all are too. I can't wait for more from Freya Barker.

Freya Barker has always been creative. Involved in music and dance when she was younger, she followed it up with cake design, quilting, and has most recently added cover design, the Dutch-born Canadian mother of two now has found her voice - writing.
Freya Barker is the pen name for a well-respected reviewer/blogger, who has a strong following on her blog, Facebook and Goodreads. As an avid reader, the next step to pen a book of her own seemed natural.
Driven to make her story about 'real' people, Freya writes about people who are perhaps less than perfect, but just as deserving of romance, hot monkey sex and some thrills and chills in their lives!
