With me being a big Mitchell Family fan, a double release is pure fucken excitement.

I was fortunate enough to receive an advance copy of "Jake" for a honest review.

That being said, this is one of the toughest emotional book in the Mitchell Healy series. I was expecting a lot more banter and humor. Why? Come on... these are the bratty funny twins we have read about through the whole series. And how can they not be hilarious, they are Ty's sons!

However this book was more about conflict and emotion. And considering the storyline; it is hard to find something to laugh about, yet Jennifer Foor finds a way to make us laugh as usual.

Jake fell in love with the one girl he shouldn't have. All I can say is... history has a way of repeating itself in the Mitchell Family. Here is a quote that can sum it all up,

"It's like Mitchell right of passage. All of the men go through some type of traumatic event in order to become the men they were always meant to be."

JAX Synopsis

Jax Mitchell isn’t the only one with his handsome face, though he wishes that were different. Everything’s changed in a short amount of time, after his twin brother came between him and his girlfriend, Reese.

With the hurt still lingering in every direction he turns, Jax picks up and moves to Kentucky to work on his uncle’s cattle ranch. It isn’t long until he meets someone that not only helps him get over Reese, but also encourages him to forgive his brother.

Can the twins make amends or has the damage that’s been done too much to forget?

This story picks up from where we left off on Jake.

Torn from the betrayal from the 2 people he least expect. Jax moved away and is living on his uncles ranch. Trying to put his straight and his heart back together. He wants nothing of what his old life had to offer. Feeling hurt at having lost a huge part of himself.

When Jake suddenly appears at his door step determined to make a mends with his twin. Jax gets angry and pushes Jakes buttons by taunting him. But even then Jake's determination to fix their relationship saving what little was left of it.

But the connection between them has been severed. But in attempts tomake things better one night out with the boys from his family wouldn't hurt
Right? That's until something happened in that club and in that moment he knew things would be the same

The moment he saw her he knew there was something her that pullwd him to her. He wanted her not only did he want her he had to have her.

That was the miment when his life changed Amber a beautiful, smart and sexy girl, however she is hiding secrets and a painful past. Amber had built walls so high to guard her past and the painful secrets she hides. That's until Jax worms his way through them.

Jennifer Foor this was amazing seeing how his true love finally made Jax grow up and mature to see Amber move forward to live her life guilt free was amazing. I can't. Wait for more.
