Throw Back Thursday - REAL by Katy Evans

Every Thursday I like to call attention to a book that I have read and has left an impression on me. This week it's REAL by Katy Evans.

SYNOPSIS
An indie phenomenon and New York Times and USA TODAY bestseller, the first in a heartwrenching New Adult series about a beautiful young sports rehab specialist who can't fight her attraction to a dangerously sexy underground fighter.

A fallen boxer. A woman with a broken dream. A competition… He even makes me forget my name. One night was all it took, and I forgot everything and anything except the sexy fighter in the ring who sets my mind ablaze and my body on fire with wanting… Remington Tate is the strongest, most confusing man I’ve ever met in my life. He’s the star of the dangerous underground fighting circuit, and I’m drawn to him as I’ve never been drawn to anything in my life. I forget who I am, what I want, with just one look from him. When he’s near, I need to remind myself that I am strong–but he is stronger. And now it’s my job to keep his body working like a perfect machine, his taut muscles primed and ready to break the bones of his next opponents... But the one he’s most threatening to, now, is me. I want him. I want him without fear. Without reservations. If only I knew for sure what it is that he wants from me?

Like most of the books I have read I found this one by accident. The synopsis looked good so I figured why not read it. When I met Remy I was a bit shocked by how bold he was. He literally jumped out the ring to get to Brooke, the woman that caught his attention. He wanted to know her. That night after he got her name he did what any good stalker would do, he used his best friend Google to check out the woman that caught his eye.

He eventually set up to meet her. He's looking to hire some sports rehab specialist and Brooke is who he wants. She thinks he wants her for one thing and one thing only. Boy is she surprised when a job offer is made and one she really needs.

Remy doesn't speak through words, some may say the man doesn't speak at all. But he communicates perfectly through music. Brooke quickly catches on so they use music to convey how they feel.

This song will become your favorite after you understand Remy better. This song tells Brooke everything she needs to know.

Remy, is not only intense, but has some demons he is dealing with and Brooke quickly finds out how to tell when he needs help. She realizes how she can help and becomes very protective of him. She becomes more than just his sports therapists. She becomes his lifeline and he hers. Admitting it is a bit difficult for them.

In the end love conquers all. Everyone can fight their feelings but in the end destiny and fate win all the time.

If you haven't read REAL I highly recommend it.
